2025 D3football.com All-Region 1 Team

Ryan Ashburn for Curry athletics; Eastern athletics by Darryl Mackey

Curry running back Montie Quinn and Eastern linebacker Jason Bateman lead the D3football.com 2025 All-Region 1 team. Bateman was named Region 1 Defensive Player of the Year, while Quinn was named the Region 1 Offensive Player of the Year for the second year in a row.

Eastern coach Billy Crocker, who led the Eagles to the third round of the NCAA playoffs in the program’s third varsity season, is the Region 1 Coach of the Year.

NCAA Division III realigned Division III football into six regions in 2021. Region 1 includes the Conference of New England, Eastern Collegiate Football Conference, Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference, Middle Atlantic Conference, New England Small College Athletic Conference, New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference.

Bateman, a junior from Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, finished his season with 97 total tackles, including 13 tackles for loss, six sacks, seven forced fumbles and four pass breakups to help the Eagles finish 10-2 on the season. It’s just the third season for Eastern football.

Quinn, a senior from Goose Creek, South Carolina, ran for 2,446 yards and 27 touchdowns on 249 carries, averaging 9.8 yards per carry. He went over 200 yards rushing on seven separate occasions, including setting the all-divisions NCAA record with 522 yards on just 20 carries against Nichols. He was a huge part of the reason why Curry improved from 4-6 last season to 8-3 in 2025.

The teams, selected in balloting by Region 1 sports information directors and D3football.com staff, were chosen from 163 nominations by full Division III member schools. A total of 77 players were chosen. Players nominated for All-Region are eligible to be considered for D3football.com All-America honors, which will be announced Monday, Dec. 22, 2025.
