Friday, Sept. 23: Fitchburg State at Bridgewater State |
Next: Week 5 |

If you're following along on our hypothetical journey, then you're probably feeling pretty road-weary. We get it. We've been there. You need a break. This weekend is that break. The NESCAC finally joins the rest of Division III here in Week 5 and a conference not usually given to Saturday evening games has one here for our benefit. So you will never leave the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Unless you want to. We start on Friday night with a MASCAC game, featuring Fitchburg State at Bridgewater State. We're going to take you a leisurely 107 miles west to Amherst, Mass., to see Hamilton at Amherst. Much easier than getting Hamilton tickets on Broadway, although possibly less entertaining. And we drive back across the state to see Wesleyan at Tufts. That's a 6 p.m. kick and you have only a few minutes' buffer if Amherst goes the full three hours.
Similarly, you could see Bates at Trinity (Conn.) as the afternoon game instead. The drive isn't much better to get to Tufts, though. This is the safer bet. Enjoy this one, because we're back to a four-game weekend next weekend!
Total: Three games, 194 miles start to finish.
