TRAFFORD, Pa. – Allegheny football junior Malcolm Denomme (Edgewood, N.M./Moriarty) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in a 31-20 victory against Bethany.
 
Denomme finished the game with a team-high 12 tackles while also tallying a sack and a fumble recovery for a touchdown.
 
Of the 12 tackles he made, six were solo and one was for a loss. Early in the fourth quarter, Denomme recovered a fumble and it returned it 64 yards for a Gator touchdown.
 
For the season, Denomme is second on the team with 33 tackles.
 
The Gators are back in action Saturday (Sept. 30) as they face Carnegie Mellon in Meadville at 7 pm.
