Just one Friday night game in all of Division III, and it doesn't lend itself to a great Saturday evening matchup. So instead, we're heading out to Southern California to take part in perhaps our most interesting road trip. It's more like a street trip. Or a sidewalk trip. The campuses of Claremont-McKenna, Harvey Mudd, Scripps, Pomona and Pitzer Colleges all overlap in Claremont, Calif., and the stadiums that Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer play in are just blocks from each other. In fact, we've made this trip ourselves, watching the first half of a game in one stadium and the second half of another game in the other one. For this one, you have plenty of time to get from La Verne at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, an afternoon kickoff, to Redlands at Pomona-Pitzer, an evening game.

Unfortunately, no, nobody else is playing nearby. But this is a good start. We should go back to Southern California.
