UW-River Falls beat UW-Whitewater for the first time since 2001 as the home team won all three games among teams ranked in the D3football.com Top 25, while Christopher Newport held on against Montclair State and more on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025 in Division III football.

Kalen Blaha threw for nearly 400 yards in the first half alone as No. 9 UW-River Falls took it to No. 8 UW-Whitewater 52-14 on Saturday. Blaha finished 30-for-51 passing for 492 yards and five passing touchdowns, then ran for two touchdowns in the second half as well as the Falcons (7-1, 4-1 WIAC) scored more points on Saturday than in the previous three meetings with Whitewater combined.

The Falcons jumped out to a 14-0 lead early, including Blaha finding Stephen Reifenberger for a 32-yard catch-and-run with 5:23 left in the first quarter. Whitewater (6-2, 3-2) came back to cut the lead to seven with 5:00 left in the half, but River Falls answered with two long touchdown passes on consecutive offensive snaps. Blaha found Jake Hilton for a medium-deep pass down the right side that he took for 75 yards and a score, then on the Falcons' next snap, Blaha hit Blake Rohrer for a pass in man coverage that Rohrer took for 82 yards. Justin Scheberl added a field goal with eight seconds left in the half to make it 31-7 at the break and Whitewater did not get within two scores in the second half.

It's the biggest win for UW-River Falls against UW-Whitewater since the Falcons won by a 42-0 score in 1989.

No. 13 UW-Platteville edged No. 25 UW-Oshkosh 21-14, while No. 10 UW-La Crosse defeated No. 23 UW-Stout 31-14 in a day in which all four WIAC home teams were victorious. UW-La Crosse's win is the 13th in a row in the series with Stout. The Eagles (6-1, 4-1 WIAC) were down to their third quarterback by the end, after Kyle Haas and Nolan Mosier left the game, but Jack Huber went 3-for-3 for 68 yards and ran for 53 yards and a touchdown as well.

Wartburg clinched the automatic bid from the American Rivers Conference, defeating Nebraska Wesleyan 34-10. The Knights erupted for 27 unanswered points after halftime to build a 34-3 advantage before the Prairie Wolves added a late score. Quarterback Leo Dodd threw for 165 yards and two touchdowns, both to Sam Heither, who finished with three receptions for 43 yards. Dylan Swanstrom totaled 81 all-purpose yards and a rushing score, while Joey Anderson added two touchdowns on the ground. Defensively, Keenan Tyler led the way with a school-record mark of 20 tackles (12 solo).

No. 3 Johns Hopkins pulled away in the fourth quarter as the Blue Jays won at No. 24 Muhlenberg, 47-26. Geoff Schroeder ran for 232 yards and two touchdowns while Bay Harvey threw for two scores and ran for two more in the win.

Connor Barry threw four touchdown passes and No. 14 Christopher Newport got a key fourth-quarter pick-six from Eddie Henderson as the Captains held on to defeat Montclair State 49-42. CNU trailed 35-28 late in the third quarter before rattling off three consecutive touchdowns to take the lead, before Montclair (3-5) scored with 3:05 left to cut the lead to seven. But Montclair kicked deep on the kickoff and CNU converted three first downs to run out the clock.

No. 16 Hope posted a record-setting 62-0 victory at Albion, erupting for its most points ever scored against the Britons and its largest margin of victory in the 96-game series. On defense, Hope shut out Albion for the 13th time after allowing only 81 yards of total offense.

Berry remained at the top of the Southern Athletic Association, as the No. 17 Vikings won at Centre, 31-13. It's the fifth consecutive win for the Vikings after an early-season loss at Carnegie Mellon. After Berry scored the first 17 points of the game, Centre responded with two touchdown passes from Jack Gohmann to cut the lead to 17-13. The Vikings answered with a 36-yard TD pass from Christian Lewis to Cameron Coleman and Berry held Centre down until a late Vikings score made it 31-13.

Randolph-Macon won its 32nd consecutive Old Dominion Athletic Conference game, as the No. 21 Yellow Jackets ran for 267 yards and held the ball for almost 40 minutes in defeating Shenandoah 31-14. R-MC has a bye week and will host archrival Hampden-Sydney on Nov. 15 in The Game. If Hampden-Sydney defeats Bridgewater next week, that head-to-head rivalry game will also be for the conference's automatic bid.

No. 22 Baldwin Wallace beat Muskingum for the 18th time in 20 meetings, as Charlie Bubonics went 21-for-32 passing for 237 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-28 win.
